Nestled along a quiet, tree-lined residential road in Sandown, The Drey sits within the Isle of Wight Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO-designated area of natural beauty. Our award-winning Blue Flag Beach is just a 7-minute walk away, with stunning coastal and countryside walks right on the doorstep. You’ll also find plenty of restaurants and bars along the beachfront—perfect for relaxed evenings out. We’re ideally located for those wishing to leave the car at home, with Sandown Train Station just a hop, skip, and jump away (a 3-minute walk).

Our beautiful, adults-only home features two modern en-suite bedrooms on the first floor, thoughtfully designed to create a light, airy, and peaceful atmosphere. You’ll enjoy, Free superfast Wi-Fi throughout the property, a Smart TV for your enjoyment, Scottish Fine Soaps toiletries in every bathroom, Twinings Tea, Taylors Coffee, and Cadbury’s Hot Chocolate in your room for moments of indulgent relaxation.

We understand that not everyone wants breakfast included, so at The Drey it’s entirely optional. You can enjoy it if and when you wish—it’s freshly prepared and served in our Acorn Diner each morning.

New for 2026 we’re thrilled to introduce our newly appointed heated outdoor pool, available exclusively for guests. Heated to a delightful 28°C, it’s the perfect spot to unwind. Our garden is a real suntrap—so don’t forget your sunscreen! (Please note: only four guests will use the pool at one time.)

We’re blessed to be right on the Red Squirrel Cycle Trail—32 miles of mostly traffic-free cycling through the heart of our beautiful island. Guests are welcome to use our secure bike storage, or take advantage of our bike hire options, with both standard and electric bikes available.

Our Acorn Diner is available for guest use each afternoon and evening. It’s equipped with a fridge (for your fresh food and drinks),a microwave and cutlery and crockery. Whether you fancy a takeaway, a simple microwave supper, or a cheese board with a glass of wine, you’ll find everything you need to make yourself at home.

Not Forgetting Our Furry Friends! As animal lovers ourselves, we understand how hard it can be to leave your beloved dog at home. At The Drey, we warmly welcome well-behaved dogs to join you on your holiday—after all, it wouldn’t be the same without them! Your four-legged friend will love exploring the local walks, beaches, and trails just as much as you will.
