Terms, Conditions & Policies for The Drey.
1. Introduction
These are the terms, conditions & Policies that apply when you book a room at The Drey via our website, or by using one of our digital channels (such as our website, mobile site or app).
You will be asked to confirm your acceptance of these terms and conditions when you make a reservation.
We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice. and you should therefore check them each time you make a reservation. The terms and conditions applying to your reservation will be those in place on the date that you make your reservation. If any changes are made, guests will be notified, and the revised terms and conditions shall be posted on this website immediately.
Additional terms apply to your use of our digital channels whether or not you make a reservation through them. These are published on the relevant digital channel.
All standard policies pertaining to the B&B / hospitality industry are applicable, when specific reservation policy is not mentioned in the “Reservation Confirmation” document.
2. Terms of Use
To reserve your room please follow the instructions on the website, mobile site or app (as applicable).
You must be at least 18 years old to make a reservation. Those under 18 years old are not permitted to stay. We do reserve the right to request valid photographic proof of identity and age, please ensure all guests have this, otherwise when requested you and/or your guests may not be permitted to stay.
Each room is reserved for a maximum of two adults only. You must not exceed the maximum occupancy for the room allocated to you. We reserve the right to conduct checks on occupancy in compliance with these terms. Occupancy is not transferable (e.g. amending guest names once the booking is checked-in).
We are an adult only facility and do not accept Babies or Children.
The price quoted is purely for the rent of the room and does not include breakfast.
We will confirm our acceptance of your reservation by sending you an email to the email address that you provide during the reservation process. The contract between us for the provision of your room and any additional services added to your reservation will be formed when you receive this email confirmation from us.
Please check that the details of your reservation are complete and accurate before you confirm your reservation. If you think that there is a mistake in your reservation or if you require any changes to a confirmed reservation, please contact us to discuss. For more information on cancellation, please see section 5 Cancellation Policy, below. We will not be liable for any delay or non-performance if you provide us with incorrect information.
The length of time you can book for on our digital channels is limited to a maximum of 14 nights. It may be possible to book for a longer period by contacting us directly. We will ascertain the suitability of your booking, but we reserve the right to refuse any requests in this regard.
3. Arrival and Departure
Check-in time is from 4pm. Check-out is by 11am.
We will try to accommodate check-in outside of these times by prior agreement, subject to availability. You will be notified on the day via text or email if your room becomes available early.
If you think you’re likely to arrive after 7pm, please us know in advance.
Rooms must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure. Failure to leave your room by this time may result in a late check-out charge of £20 per hour
4. Payment Terms
Payment for the reservation can be made online by using a credit or debit card or deposited into The Drey business bank account on or before the due date.
When you make a reservation request, we'll give you a total price for the room/s and number of nights you've requested. The price you pay is the price quoted to you at the time you make your reservation.
Full payment will be required 14 days prior to the check-in date for those staying with us less than five days. Customers staying for five days or more full payment would be required 30 days in advance of your check-in date. As set out in your confirmation of booking email.
A reminder of payment will be sent 7 days prior to the payment due date by sending an email to the email address that you provide during the reservation process. If payment is not received an email will be sent cancelling your booking and releasing your reservation dates.
An extension of stay at The Drey is liable to be offered at rate/offer applicable at the time the extension request is made. In case, the original offer at which the reservation was booked has expired at that time, The Drey is not liable to offer a room at the original rates but at current rates on offer.
Certain privileged booking rates or special offers are not eligible to amend to dates outside the specified offer period. The Customer is therefore advised to check any such conditions carefully prior to making a booking. The Drey shall not be liable to cancel or refund any monies or alter any bookings if made under such privileged booking rates or special offers.
If the booking is cancelled (see cancellation policy) after payment, the refund of the booking amount will be initiated after agreement. The booking amount after deduction of any bank charges or taxes incurred, will be credited into the bank account of the Customer of which the booking was made. The refund process may take 7 business working days.
It is unlikely that we will change or cancel your booking once it is confirmed. If we if any reason outside our control this happens, we will inform you as soon as possible.
Meals and other extras are not included in the room price but, you will be able to add these during your stay and pay during or at the end of your stay by credit or debit card or directly into The Drey’s Business Bank account.
The amendment of a booking is on a like-for-like basis (same rate type, room, stay duration and year booked). The first night of the amended booking is to occur within 6 months of the date you were first due to arrive (subject to availability); Any subsequent amendments to the date of your booking are not permitted. If the total value of the new stay is less than the original booking, any difference is forfeited; If the total value of the new stay is more than the original booking pre-payment, the remaining balance is payable and payment in full is required at the time of amendment. All amended bookings remain fully non-refundable.
5. Cancellation Policy
Your right to cancel
For those staying for five days or more; Cancelling prior to 30 days before check-in date, no cancellation charges will be levied. Thereafter, the full amount of money for the room reservation will be charged.
For those staying for less than five days; Cancelling prior to 14 days before the check-in date, no cancellation charges will be levied. Thereafter, the full amount of money or the room reservation will be charged.
In case of a no show the full booking amount will be charged.
If you decide to shorten your stay you must inform us that you are leaving as soon as you are aware the full booking amount will still be charged.
Our right to cancel
We may cancel your reservation at any time with immediate effect by giving you written notice (which includes email) if:

you do not pay us when you are required to do so; or
-
you breach our Terms, Conditions or Policies us in any way; or
-
you have previously breached the contract between us in any way.
If we cancel your reservation where you are at fault, we reserve our legal rights in respect of your breach of contract. Where your stay had/has not yet commenced, the total payment made or to be made by you for such room shall be deemed a cancellation charge and is not for any service.
We may also cancel your reservation if an event outside of our control (including industrial action, explosion, outbreak of disease, health and safety issues, fire, flooding, and failure of power and/or water supplies or emergency evacuation) means that we are unable to make your room available to you. In this case we will contact you to let you know as soon as possible and:

if you have already paid for your room, we will refund your payment to you; or
-
if you have not yet paid for your room, you will not have to make any payment to us.
As set out above, we will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations that is caused by an event outside of our control. This does not affect your statutory rights.
6. Standard Terms and Conditions:

No gatherings and parties of any nature are allowed in the room or in/at any of The Drey’s facilities (for example The Acorn Diner, Pool Area). The Drey reserves the right to evict any additional occupants.

The Drey reserves the right to send guests away from the B&B due to their conduct, behaviour or for any other safety, security, medical reasons.

Guests will not be permitted to compromise the health, safety and security aspects of The Drey at any point of time.

All the assets and valuables of The Drey should be duly respected and should not be taken, damaged or destroyed. The Drey has the discretion to levy any charges if it is proven beyond doubt that such theft, damage or destruction to the asset of The Drey have been done or caused by a Guest.

The Drey work hard to provide a safe and secure environment. We do everything possible to ensure a secure environment is maintained and we ask that our guests do also.

The Drey takes no responsibility for any personal possessions that are lost, stolen or misplaced whilst on the premises due to the acts and omissions of the guests themselves.

Lost property found on the premises is logged and kept in a secure location for a period of one (1) month. Thereafter items are either disposed of or donated to charity. The Drey accepts no responsibility for contacting individuals in relation to lost property. Perishable items retrieved from rooms after check-out are only held until close of business that day.

Claimed items can be collected from The Drey with valid identification or alternatively The Drey can arrange postage on behalf of the guest at their expense.

We do not have any parking on-site. Please use courtesy when parking in the residential area. There is a carpark at the Train station, cost £2.50 a day approximately 2-minute walk to The Drey.

At The Drey we do not discriminate our guests based on religion, colour, caste, creed, nationality, sex or race. In our constant endeavour for guest safety and especially the safety of our female guests we take all possible steps to ensure their safety.
7. Your Responsibility
Legitimate reservations:
You agree that you will make only legitimate reservations in good faith for use by you and your invited guests only, and not for other purposes, including without limitation, reselling, impermissibly assigning or posting on third party web sites or making speculative, false or fraudulent reservations, or any reservation in anticipation of demand.
Insurance:
For your own protection, you and all members of your party must have suitable insurance to cover the costs of cancellation of your holiday and the costs of assisting you if you or your party has an accident or becomes ill for the full period of your holiday.
8.Our Expectations of you
You must not:
-
be threatening or abusive to any of our staff before, during or after your stay
-
smoke anywhere, in & outside on or premises is not permitted. This includes the smoking of e-cigarettes.
-
engage in any unlawful activity during your stay at our premises
-
cause any health and safety hazard to any of our team members or any of our guests
-
bring any pets onto the premises, except for assistance dogs and preauthorised agreement with a member of staff
-
bring any potentially dangerous or hazardous materials or equipment onto the premises
-
use any electrical appliances that may overload the electrical system, cause a health and safety hazard and/or set off the fire alarm system, such as toaster, mini cookers or portable grills
-
tamper with any fire alarms or emergency equipment
-
utilise our rooms to store items (personal or otherwise) which could in the sole opinion of The Drey cause damage to the room, or be a risk to the health and safety of staff or property
-
prevent, staff from access to your room(s) as and when required by us, with cleaning permitted full access at least once a day
-
remove, damage or destroy any The Drey property
-
use extensions leads when charging items with lithium-ion batteries
-
use any of the technology provided by The Drey to download or access any unlawful or obscene material; or cause unreasonable disturbance to our other guests or any staff.
The Drey reserves the right to decline or cancel reservations made and stays in progress by those who have previously breached these terms and conditions (as may be updated from time to time), whether the reservation is in that name or not.
The Drey will not be liable for any refund or compensation in such circumstances.
We don’t knowingly allow anyone to use or visit The Drey who is a convicted sex offender or subject to the notification requirements of the Sexual Offences Act 2003, or subject to a Sexual Risk Order or Child Abduction Notice. If you do not disclose this information to us and it later becomes known, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and require that you and the other members of your party leave The Drey, without refund.
8. Breakfast
Meals are not included in the room price.
You may add breakfast when you make your reservation using the online order form or by 10pm the evening prior to the next morning’s breakfast service, this is an optional extra which is separate to the room reservation.
Our breakfast offering is available at The Drey, subject to availability. Where breakfast becomes unavailable (for example due to closure of the kitchen) you will be refunded the price you paid for food and beverages, regardless as to whether you paid at the time of booking or later, and such refund shall be your sole remedy.
9. General Provisions

By proceeding with the reservation, you further agree and acknowledge that if the reservation is accepted by the us, your stay subsequently shall be subject to our Standard Terms and Conditions in respect of your reservation / stay at The Drey.

You further agree that the General Terms and Conditions as provided on the website shall constitute the binding agreement between yourself and The Drey in relation to all commercial arrangement including reservation, stay, payment, usage of facilities, etc.

We may, at our absolute discretion, cancel the reservation if we are of the opinion that the reservation information provided is falsified or incomplete.

We shall not be liable for any losses, damages, costs or expenses incurred by you because of any cancellation of the reservation by us.

The Drey does not accept any liability for any failure by us to comply with these conditions where such failure is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

If The Drey waives any rights available to it under these conditions on one occasion, this does not mean that those rights will automatically be waived on any other occasion.
We reserve the right to:

cancel any booking(s) due to health and safety concerns or full or partial closure of The Drey. In the event we must cancel your booking(s) we will attempt to notify you, and a full refund will be processed to the same debit/credit card, though it may take a few days for the funds to reach your account.
10. Liability
We do our best to ensure reservation arrangements are satisfactory, however, The Drey does not accept any liability for any loss financial or otherwise, due to travel delay, injury, damage, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by any events which are beyond our control. These include, but not limited to, flight delays or cancellations, civil disturbance, defects in vehicles, strikes, theft, acts of terrorism, natural disaster, war, fire, floods, acts of God, acts of Government or of any other authorities, changes to Government regulations, accident to or failure of machinery, outside areas or equipment, maintenance requirements or industrial action.
We do not accept liability where any form of loss or damage whether by reason of death or any other cause not reasonably within the control of the B&B.
11. The contract
This contract formed when we confirm your reservation is between you and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of its terms, whether under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties Act) 1999 or otherwise.

The inclusion of any links on our website does not imply a recommendation or endorsement of any sort. We take no responsibility for and will not be liable for the website being temporary unavailable due to technical issues beyond our control.
