Bringing Your Dog to The Drey

We know how hard it can be to leave your pet behind. As fellow animal lovers, we want your furry companion to feel just as welcome and comfortable as you do. We’re happy to host a dog up to medium size and will make sure they feel right at home!

What We Provide

To make your dog’s stay as easy and enjoyable as yours, we’ve added a few thoughtful touches:

  • Hard floors in your room (no rugs) for easy cleaning

  • Food and water bowls, a dog blanket, and of course, a treat!

  • A watering can and towel by the front door for muddy paws

  • An outdoor water bowl and a hose available for particularly adventurous walks.

Pet Policy

When travelling with a pet, it’s important that our guests are aware of our pet guidelines. We kindly ask you to review these before your stay.

  • The Drey welcomes any well-behaved dogs, ensuring a pleasant experience for all our guests.

  • In the pool area, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, and any mess must be cleared up immediately.

  • Our garden area is not available for toileting, but Los Altos Park, just a 2-minute walk away, is a lovely dog-friendly park popular with local dog walkers.

Dog Holiday T’s & C’s

We like to keep things relaxed, but to ensure everyone enjoys their stay, we kindly ask that you follow these simple boundaries:

  • The bedroom must be accessible at a suitable time each day for cleaning

  • Dogs must not be left alone in the room

  • No aggressive behaviour, fleas, or continuous barking

  • Dogs must be fully toilet-trained — if there’s an accident, please clean up and use the grey bin located at the side of the house

  • Please make sure your dog is clean before entering The Drey, especially after walks

  • No dogs on beds or furniture, and please — no nibbling the pillows!

  • Dogs should be well-behaved (a little cheekiness is always welcome!)

There may be an additional cleaning fee of up to £50 if necessary, but we always do our best to avoid passing on any charges.

Dog-Friendly Beaches

Please note that some beaches restrict dogs during the summer months. However, several nearby beaches remain dog-friendly all year round, including:

  • Yaverland Beach

  • Beaches to the right of Sandown Pier, heading toward Shanklin
